100:1 Mini Metal Gearmotor
This gearmotor is a miniature (0.94" x 0.39" x 0.47"), low-current brushed DC motor with 100:1 metal gearbox, similar to SanyoThis brushed DC metal gearmotor is a compact (1.26" x 0.63" x 0.63") motor with an enclosed 100:1 metal gearbox. These units have a 0.275"-long, 3 mm-diameter D-shaped output shaft.
Key specs at 6 V: 140 RPM and 90 mA free-run, 15 oz-in (1.0 kg-cm) and 0.8 A stall.
This brushed DC motor has a 0.275"-long, 3 mm-diameter D-shaped metal output shaft that matches our assortment of Pololu wheels and the Solarbotics RW2 rubber wheel. Alternatively, the hub in the picture to the right can be used to mount custom wheels and mechanisms to the gearmotor’s output shaft.
The face plate has two mounting holes threaded for M2 screws. You can use our custom-designed mini metal gearmotor bracket (pictured to the right) to mount the gearmotor to your project via these mounting holes and the screws that come with the bracket.
The dimension L in the diagram below is 13 mm for the 24:1 mini metal gearmotor and 14.3 mm for the 100:1 mini metal gearmotor.

These motors are intended for use at 6 V. In general, these kinds of motors can run at voltages above and below this nominal voltage, so they should comfortably operate in the 3 – 9 V range. Lower voltages might not be practical, and higher voltages could start negatively affecting the life of the motor.
